About the event
Sept. 3, 4-6 p.m., we’re returning to Cheesecakes by Alex for our September Writers Around Town. Located at 625 N. Trade St. (www.cheesecakesbyalex.com. 336-893-8118), you’ll find a selection of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, ice cream, cheesecake (including sugar free), cakes, scones, cookies, muffins and more. There is a patio in back that is open in good weather. On-street parking on Trade Street or Liberty Street, which runs parallel to Trade one block over, or in the parking deck on Sixth Street and is $2 all day on weekends. Come early and check out the unique boutiques on Trade before you head to Alex’s.
