About the event
Writers Around Town will meet at Campus Gas until the group decides they want to go somewhere else. It has everything we need: indoor and outdoor seating, free parking lot next to the building, good food and beverages, great service.
Campus Gas, a former gas station that is now a coffee shop in the morning, a bar/grill in the afternoon and evening. Located at 1231 Polo Road, between University Parkway and Reynolda Road near Wake Forest University, this popular gathering spot offers wine, beer and nonalcoholic drinks, sandwiches such as hot dogs, pimento cheese, and hamburgers, along with onion rings and other sides. Parking lot on the side, outdoor seating in good weather, corn hole game. Check them out on Facebook, then join your writer friends for an afternoon of beverages and stimulating conversation.
