The Word is Out Open Mic goes ZOOM
This event will be on Zoom until an effective COVID-19 vaccine has become widely available.
We meet the last Tuesday of every month, except December.
Join us online via Zoom on the last Tuesday of the month for The Word Is Out Open Mic Poetry aka TWIO. Our next event is Tuesday, January 26 from 6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This month features Grace Ellis and the optional theme is “on hold/hold on.” After retiring from GTCC, Grace Ellis taught as an adjunct professor at UNCSA, Salem Academy, and Guildford College. Grace has published a composition textbook, as well as, poetry and creative nonfiction. She has also had more than two dozen of her plays performed in the Triad. Lovers of poetry, spoken word, whatever can be spoken or written are welcome to share 3-5 minutes of original or others’ work following the featured reading. Audience enthusiastically welcomed. The event is co-sponsored by the Forsyth County Public Library and Winston-Salem Writers. Those wishing to attend should email email@example.com by January 25 to receive the passcode for the Zoom meeting.
