Open Mic is on the move to a new location!
Open Mic, the first Tuesday of each month, is moving to Coffee Park, the coffee shop inside Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts. The owner, Tommy Priest, has graciously agreed to open from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. for Open Mic. Coffee Park has coffee, sodas and adult beverages, along with cookies and desserts from Camino Bakery, available for purchase. Parking is available on the street or in the lot across the street. Sign-ups for Open Mic begin at 6:30 p.m. Open Mic runs from 7 - 8:30 p.m. All writers, whether experienced or beginners, are invited to read up to five minutes of their work to a friendly and supportive audience. If you're not ready to read, please come out and be the audience! There is always a variety of readings, from poetry to nonfiction to chapters of books in progress. You can't find more fun for the price of a cup of coffee!
