Meeting of the Minds

Meeting of the Minds

March 11 | 10:00a-12:00p

Milton Rhodes Center, 251 Spruce St, conference room (lobby level). Free, no registration.

Our many programs specifically focus on mastering the craft of writing. This year we are adding a new series that will enrich your resources of information in a more general way. Please join us March 11 for the first of four quarterly talks for members, we’re calling a Meeting of the Minds.

Writers never know where inspiration will come from. With that in mind, we have created a series of talks on very diverse topics. We hope these talks will provide background information that will find its way into your next novel, short story, poem or play. They may motivate you to write or revise. They may introduce you to something you hadn’t considered before, which will help you to grow as a writer.

Our March speaker will be award-winning artist and author, Barbara Rizza Mellin. Barbara, who has visited 47 US states, 24 counties and 5 continents, will consider travel as an inspiration for writing and life. Her illustrated talk will last about 45 minutes followed by a brief WSWriters general meeting, at which time we will update you on upcoming events and activities.

Grab a coffee on-site from Coffee Park & come meet, network and enjoy the lively company of other writers. Questions? Email board secretary Angell Caudill at
