Apply these principles to any fiction genre and to your works-in-progress. Do you need a jump-start into fiction writing? Would you like to strengthen your story-lines? Do you have a submission that keeps getting rejected?

Muscle up your skills and evaluate your work with fresh eyes, as Dan Davis shares from his experiences as a successful emerging writer.

Daniel J. Davis is a science fiction and fantasy writer based in Winston-Salem. His stories have appeared in several print anthologies, including Swords & Steam Short Stories, Unidentified Funny Objects 5, and Alien Artifacts. His third-quarter win in the 31st annual Writers of the Future Contest earned him a spot in the contest’s prestigious workshop, a weeklong event taught by award-winning authors and New York Times bestsellers. To see Dan’s interview at that event and learn more about his experience there, this video is worth watching and click on Orson Scott Card’s image.
