This workshop is designed to show the bones of good story structure. Apply these principles to any fiction genre and to your works-in-progress. Do you need a jump-start into fiction writing? Would you like to strengthen your story-lines? Do you have a submission that keeps getting rejected?

Muscle up your skills and evaluate your work with fresh eyes, as Dan Davis shares from his experiences as a successful emerging writer.

Daniel J. Davis is a science fiction and fantasy writer based in Winston-Salem. His stories have appeared in several print anthologies, including Swords & Steam Short Stories, Unidentified Funny Objects 5, and Alien Artifacts. His third-quarter win in the 31st annual Writers of the Future Contest earned him a spot in the contest’s prestigious workshop, a weeklong event taught by award-winning authors and New York Times bestsellers. To see Dan’s interview at that event and learn more about his experience there, this video is worth watching http://www.writersofthefuture.com/videos/ and click on Orson Scott Card’s image.
