Winston-Salem’s Writing Community
Winston-Salem Writers was founded in 2005 to be an umbrella organization for writers in the greater Winston-Salem area. In these few years, we’ve grown to serve more than 100 members.
We’re a nonprofit group and a member of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. We welcome writers at any stage of their art – from beginners to published authors.
Mission
Winston-Salem Writers is a group of writers who create fiction, nonfiction and poetry, and who care about the art and craft of writing. We accomplish this by sponsoring programs, workshops, critique groups, open mic nights, newsletters, and competitions.
